It’s a rare occasion when I give two hoots about Liverpool FC. In fact, I can’t think of a time when I have. Until today that is. A story in the Sun newspaper on Wednesday says that Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Fernando Torres are going to have a ‘cook off’.
The Masterchef-styled competition will be overseen by none other than scary hair himself, Marco Pierre White. The event will be held in Carragher’s restaurant with Marco adding his own analysis.
An Anfield insider told the Sun: “The lads have all been having a bit of banter.”
“Stevie, Carra and Nando are good mates and they agreed to do it as a bit of a laugh. They’ve all been practising hard at home. Stevie keeps joking he’s going to whip up a pan of Scouse while Nando and Carra want to do something a little fancy. Nando fancies himself as the favourite, he is always cooking at home for his missus and reckons his Spanish dishes will win over Marco and the other diners.”
Can’t wait to see the result of this one. My money’s on Torres. I’m sure he’ll produce something more interesting than Scouse!

I think Gerrard should use the best of local produce and go for a Liver Bird Pie.

Torres will probably pull a hamstring walking from the cooker to the fridge, carragher will be slow of the mark as always and have a tug at the other two competitors shirts and get away with it and Stevie Gerrard will probably make an attempt to get at the shows music producer for not playing his choice of music for the show then hit him with a forearm smash and still get off with it.No doubt they will all be making humble pie and fail miserably as always.
For some good cooking tune into M.U.T.V at 8 o clock on Friday night to see Patrice Evra cooking fine French food for champions.

Ha ha. That sounds like a touch of jealousy, if Torres had went to Manchester and was having a cook-off with Berbatov it’d be a different story, no?

Ha ha ha ha. I know 303’s not about so I thought I’d get in first. I can’t believe I’ve been missing a cooking show with Patrice Evra, must hunt it out on YouTube.

Utd legends Robson & Denis Irwin have also been on the show and Old Red Nose himself cooks for the panel on Sunday.

You learn something new every day. Why don’t you use Berbatov to do cameraman or something, you paid an awful lot of money for him to stand in the corner of the pitch and pout.

Best midfielder in the league?….Gerrard has to call to Phil Nevilles house to see what a premier league winners medal looks like.
Will have to watch Alex Fergusons cookery hour,do you think he will use wine in his cooking? probably!
