A DUNMURRY school that closed its doors for the final time in June has been the target of several break-ins, police have revealed.

Dunmurry High School on River Road has been entered at least three times since it closed at the beginning of the summer. Large quantities of copper piping and copper tanks were taken.

“It's understood six cookers and two Go-Go bikes were also stolen by thieves,” said a police spokesperson.

“Police believe the first incident, which was not initially reported to police, happened around two weeks ago with another two break-ins reported on August 20 and 21.”
