* Update, 1.30pm: Andersonstown News offices re-opened, however Glen Road is still cordoned off by PSNI.

The Andersonstown News is operating as normal today, despite the paper’s Hannahstown office being evacuated this morning.

Around 100 homes and businesses in the Glen Road/Hannahstown area were evacuated by police on Friday morning as they continued their search for an unexploded device.

Residents have been told by police that they could be out of their homes for several days. It’s the fourth search in the area since the reported attack last Friday when Oglaigh na hEireann claimed they fired a horizontal mortar at a PSNI Land Rover.

However, despite being out of their office, staff at the Andersonstown News are working as normal after being given temporary office space on the Falls Road.

“We may be out of our office but it’s business as usual,” said Andersonstown News deputy editor Anthony Neeson.

“Our journalists are out covering the stories of the day and can be contacted via Twitter, while the rest of the staff are working hard to put out next week’s paper.”
