SOUTH Belfast is set to be swamped with Lannisters, Starks and brothers of the Night’s Watch this week, as the entire first series of HBO hit Game of Thrones is screened in a local cinema.

Fans attending the special two-day event are being encouraged to dress as one of the many characters from the epic show, filmed in Belfast and across the North, while NI Screen will be giving away GOT goodies on both nights in competitions.

Taking place in the Dublin Road Movie House this Wednesday and Thursday, the entire series will be screened over both nights, with rumours of a “special guest” making an appearance bound to have fans excited.

The show is based on the best selling fantasy novels by US author George RR Martin on the bloody, backstabbing politics surrounding the claim to the Iron Throne of the seven kingdoms of Westeros. Series two of the show is currently being filmed here.
