A West Belfast beauty has secured a place representing the city at the Miss Bikini Ireland finals.

Joelle Curoe, from Fallswater Street, took the Miss Bikini Belfast title last week and is eagerly looking forward to the Dublin finals in November.

“I am really proud to represent Belfast,” said the 19-year-old who, remarkably, is not attached to any modelling agency.  “If I can win the Irish title, I win a trip to the world finals in Florida next year.”

The former Fortwilliam student, who volunteers for a suicide awareness charity, said she is hopeful of securing the coveted Irish crown.

“I’m always told I am one inch too short for fashion mode;ling,” smiled Joelle, “but height doesn’t matter in this competition so I am feeling positive.”

At the November 2 finals in Dublin, Noelle will show off her killer figure in a bikini and evening dress, and while the prospect would make most of us run for the hills, this pretty young local girl has the confidence to pull it off. “I’m a dancer for Mono, a nightclub in town, so that keeps me fit and I work out too so I’m fine about that.”

Joelle is now making waves in the modelling world and was recently asked to audition for the Face of Ireland competition.

In the meantime, watch her progress and show her some support on her Miss Bikini Belfast Facebook page.
