Here at People 1st you are supported by a dedicated and experienced team of 96 staff and 40-plus associates across the country, who work tirelessly and in unison to ensure all learners reach their targets. Student Support Officers also offer one-to-one support and keep parents informed about the student’s personal progress.

Over the years we have built strong connections with a wide range of local employers, enabling our student support officers to find the best placements for students. As well as studying one of the occupational areas on offer, you will also have the opportunity to study Essential Skills to Level 2 along with gaining qualifications in Personal Development and Employability, which can assist you with interview skills and work preparation and help to build confidence.

The programme allows you to ‘Earn While You Learn’, giving you independence and freedom and an incentive to work to the best of your ability. You also get the opportunity to take part in volunteering and enterprise opportunities, as well as group trips and teambuilding exercises, which are all organised by People 1st to ensure students feel comfortable and relaxed at all times.

The ‘Earn While You Learn’ incentive means every trainee will receive an EMA allowance of £40 per week plus travel expenses (if applicable). You will earn bonus payments and access additional financial support for childcare if you are a young parent.

People 1st are delighted to announce that we are offering the Nail and Beauty Therapy course from designated training salons in our Dairy Farm and Ormeau centres.

Students gain a solid foundation of the knowledge and skills required for a career within beauty-related industries. Students will focus on key aspects of salon practice including client care, manicure and pedicure services, wax depilation, facial skin care and professional make-up.
