St Luke's FC                      4

St Luke's followed up on last week’s impressive home display with a convincing win over relegated 2B side Wesley at Wallace Park.

Sean O'Rourke kept faith in the side that impressed at home the previous week only for Paul O'Rourke stepping in for the injured Terry Cavanagh.

St Luke's started the better and hit the front when Ciaran McGahey’s was turned in for an own goal.

St Luke's were looking for  the second to get some breathing space and it came with a finely worked goal and finished by Michael McDonnell.

St Luke's manager O'Rourke wanted this game put to bed and McDonnell got his second with a neat long ball which he ran onto and lobbed the keeper.

O'Rourke made three changes with McAllister, Munster and young Prior coming on. Prior made his presence felt linking up well with some quality football and he got his reward to make it four.

O'Rourke was delighted with his side’s impressive display to take into next weeks Junior Cup game at home to Mid Ulster side Stranmillis FC- kick off 1.30pm at Twinbrook.

St Luke’s: Tierney, McCabe, Smith, McManus, Hughes, A O'Rourke, McCotter, P O'Rourke, McGahey, O'Brien, McDonnell, McAllister, Munster, Prior.
