Detectives in North Belfast are appealing for information after a report of an assault outside residential premises in the Silverstream Road area on Wednesday night (January 15).

At around 9.45pm, it was reported that a 21-year-old man was assaulted close to a house in the area by a male. The male is believed to have been stabbed a number of times in the leg and also received facial injuries. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries where his condition is described as stable.
