A SECURITY operation in North Belfast has ended this lunchtime.

Motorists were advised to avoid the York Street area following a report of a suspicious object in the area this morning

This afternoon, Inspector Montgomery said: “Police received a report of a suspicious object located in the area on Friday 6th November. Officers attended and the object, which was declared as nothing untoward has been removed. The road has now re-opened.”
