WEST Belfast-based Flynn Construction is proud to be supporting the 2027 Blackboard Awards, celebrating the outstanding achievements of our wonderful teachers and classroom assistants.
The family-run construction company, which has grown into the North's established building and maintenance contractor, is delighted to be associated with an awards event which recognises excellence, dedication and the people who help make a difference in their communities.
Flynn Construction has built its reputation through delivering construction, refurbishment and maintenance projects for public and private sector clients, including many school estates.
Aidan Flynn, Managing Director, Flynn Construction, said: "We have been proud supporters of the Blackboard Awards for many years because they recognise the people at the heart of education.
"Our work across the education estate gives us a real appreciation of the commitment shown every day by school staff.
"Flynn is delighted to continue supporting an initiative that celebrates their contribution to young people and communities across Belfast.”
Flynn Construction will sponsor a special award on the night 'Special Needs Education Champion' which was won in 2026 by Bernadette Davis, Principal, Park School and Outreach Services.
The 2027 Blackboard Awards take place on Friday, February 5, 2027 at the Europa Hotel in Belfast.
Our schools are the heartbeat of a thriving Belfast — and at their core are the educators who work tirelessly to help every student shine. In classrooms across the city, children are empowered to believe in themselves and behind each of them stands a teacher, teaching assistant, principal, or support staff member championing their success.
The Blackboard Awards 2027 offer a unique opportunity to celebrate these everyday heroes, the individuals who lead with passion, commitment and care.
Nominations are now OPEN for teachers, classroom assistants, principals, and school support staff who represent the very best in education across Belfast. Help us shine a spotlight on those who make a lasting difference in our classrooms.
