A new soccer coaching business based in Belfast has drawn the support from high profile international stars including Celtic’s Paddy McCourt.

Kix4Kidz targets 5-9 year olds with the aim of hosting 20 academies across the city .

The hope is that top scouts will visit the Elite Camps each Sunday morning in the hope of developing new talent.

The coaches all play for Irish Premiership clubs such as Donegal Celtic, Cliftonville and Linfield.

Marty Lavery from Kix4Kidz explained that they hope to develop their academies further and are even working on a link with European giants Barcelona.

“Kix4Kidz is a soccer coaching business based in Belfast,” he said.

“We plan to have 20 football academies around Belfast specifically for 5-9 year olds with an Elite section that will be scouted by top scouts every Sunday.

“We also have Kix coaching in which we coach, provide equipment and help amateur teams with funding applications.

“Kix Youth is coaching soccer in youth clubs with a youth league being formed for the Under 12 and 14 age range and hopefully come September we will have things in place to start working in schools throughout Belfast.

“We are also hoping to come to an arrangement to wear Adidas for the forthcoming season. As well as this we have recently been in talks with FC Barcelona about a potential link up with Kix4Kidz.”
