Belfast Millie Tours was created to celebrate and promote the contribution that women have made to the development of our city. We wanted to reclaim the word Millie and give it back the meaning it once had. The Millies were the economic backbone to the industrialisation of Belfast and though they worked in horrendous conditions they also held families together and built communities. We stand on the shoulders of these women and we celebrate it through walking tours, bus tours, City Cemetery tours etc!
