What do you think are the key ingredients needed to make a person or organisation the Best of the West? To be the Best in Belfast, especially in a place like West Belfast, it takes more than just talent or success—it’s about heart, community, and character. The people here are known for their incredible support for one another. They’ll always go the extra mile to lend a hand, whether it’s for a neighbour, a friend, or even a stranger.

You also need to have a good sense of humour, able to enjoy the craic and take a bit of banter without taking offense is part of the culture. It keeps us grounded and connected.

Most importantly, being down to earth and treating everyone with respect, no matter their background, is key. In West Belfast, it’s not about where you come from—it’s about how you treat people. That’s what makes someone, or an organization, stand out as the best! The dance school is led by teachers John Ferris TCRG, Caoimhe Bunting TCRG, and Bronagh McGeough TCRG. The diversity in gender and ages among the three teachers provides the children with a rich variety of life experiences. Together, they create an environment where children have the best opportunity to thrive and excel in their dance education.

Our dance classes are taught in West Belfast to children aged three and above at Lámh Dhearg GAC and Sarsfields GAC. Embracing the ethos of GAA, we provide a safe space for kids to participate in competitive sports. We regularly engage with the local community through dance displays across Belfast and recently we have collaborated with Féile Lisburn, a new initiative that fosters unity through the arts.
