Best of the West 2025

BEST COFFEE FINALIST - Coffee & Chlo

Your Name: Chloe McCann

Your Organisation/Company: Coffee&Clo

Your favourite thing about West Belfast: The community the craic & of course the coffee!

Your First Job: Secretary at a local solicitors firm

What it taught you: My first job taught me the value of a work ethic, the importance of communication and teamwork. It also give me confidence working with members of the public & gaining people skills. It also taught me how much I enjoyed working hard for my own income!

What do you think are the key ingredients needed to make a person or organisation the Best of the West?

Passion and personality is definitely needed in the hospitality industry - people always remember how you greet them & make them feel. Here at Coffee&Clo we know our regulars by name & know their coffee order. Hard work is always recognised & appreciated I built Coffee&Clo from scratch with converting an old rusty caravan. I kept all costs at a minimum & done a lot of jobs myself which the local community and customers always admire. We feel it’s very important to have a strong work ethic & no matter what keep pushing for what you want - don’t let the set backs keep you back.

Coffee&Clo was once a dream. It’s now my reality. Which is really amazing for me to say. I converted an old rusty caravan into a little coffee van & am now serving my local community in the heart of west Belfast. I have the best baristas working at Coffee&Clo & I can’t thank them enough as I continue to work in my social care job for BHSCT supporting children in care. Coffee&Clo only opened in February of this year and to be shortlisted as a finalist for best of the west is a win for me alone. Forever thankful!
