St Peter's Nursery School

School website: stpetersnurseryschoolbelfast.com
Subject: Early Years.
Your place of birth: Belfast.
Studied at: Belfast Metropolitan College.
First job: Nursery assistant.
What it taught me: Working within education has made me aware of the importance of treating every child as an individual to enable them to reach their full potential.
Family/status: Married with three children.
Best advice anyone ever gave you: My Mummy always encouraged me to work hard, be independent and to be true to myself and others. She always said to treat others the way you would want to be treated yourself.
Best advice you could give someone thinking of a teaching career: The best advice I could give someone thinking of a teaching career would be to believe in yourself and enjoy the journey.

I worked in a variety of jobs before getting married. I had three children and when my youngest started school I decided I wanted to work with children. I studied City and Guilds 0-7 and having enjoyed this so much I then went on to study a diploma in Nursery Nursing at Belfast Metropolitan College. I then got a job in St Peter's Nursery School and have been here ever since.
