A NUMBER of homes have been evacuated due to a suspected gas leak on Monday.
Firefighters were called to the scene in Trench Park, off Finaghy Road North at 10.15am. The incident is ongoing.
Two Fire Appliances from Cadogan Fire Station, two Appliances from Springfield Fire Station, one Appliance and a Command Support Unit from Lisburn Fire Station are currently in attendance.
A spokesperson for Phoenix Energy said: "Phoenix Energy engineers are currently in attendance in the Trench Park area of Belfast, following a recent damage to a Phoenix Energy gas pipeline.
"Our engineers are working at the scene and will continue to engage with local residents as necessary.
