A MAN, aged in his 40’s, has been arrested in Liverpool in connection with the investigation into the murder of Robert Lawlor.
Robert Lawlor (36) was shot dead outside a house in Etna Drive in North Belfast on April 4, 2020.
The man was arrested by Merseyside Police before being transported to Northern Ireland for questioning by the PSNI.
Lawlor was heavily involved in a Drogheda feud and is believed to have travelled to the North because he feared he was going to be attacked.
Gardaí believe he was responsible for the murder of 17-year-old Keane Mulready-Woods, whose remains were dismembered and left in various locations in Louth and Dublin.
Five other men, including Lawlor's brother-in-law Stephen Carberry, have since been jailed for their roles in Lawlor's murder.
