SEVERAL hundred people lined the route to Christ the Redeemer Church on Thursday evening as Eddie Mulligan’s funeral cortege passed by.

Described as a “true community champion” for the Colin area, Eddie was instrumental in setting up Glendowan Football Club in 2002. Tributes have poured in for Eddie on social media since his passing this week.
Eddie, who was originally from Riverdale before moving to Lagmore, was also a well-known figure in the Colin area through his day job as a window cleaner.
Many of those who attended the funeral were former and current footballers with Glendowan FC.
In his funeral notice, Eddie is described as the loving husband of Martine, a loving daddy to Michael, Kirstie and Lucy, much loved Granda to Mark, Charley, Darragh and Robyn, adored brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend of many.
The Funeral Mass was following by a service at Roselawn Cemetery this morning, Friday.
