A NORTH Belfast man is urging people to be vigilant after finding needles and other drugs paraphernalia in the Waterworks.
The local resident contacted the North Belfast News to express his disgust at the recent finds last week.
"The needles are everywhere. One month I found about 30 needles," he explained.

"It is absolutely shocking. There are people that walk their kids through the Waterworks every day.
"I would walk in the Waterworks most days. In the past year and a half, I have really noticed an increase in needles.
"It is absolutely scandalous and something needs to be done about it."
A Belfast City Council spokesperson said: "We are not aware of any recent reports of, or an increase in, discarded needles at Waterworks.
"Residents can report anything of this nature. Our teams will work to remove any discarded needles or other drug waste in a public space or on council-owned land, once it has been reported to us.
"Call us on 028 9027 0469 (Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 5pm, and Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm) or email sharps@belfastcity.gov.uk to report the location."
