Damage to a door caused by the explosion
Sinn Féin councillor JJ Magee has condemned what he called a "pipe bomb attack" in the Stanhope Street area, describing it as a reckless and dangerous act that has left the local community in shock.
“This attack must be unequivocally condemned, and those responsible must stop immediately.
“Thankfully, no one has been injured. However, emergency services will be carrying out an operation in the street, and I will continue to support local residents throughout this incident.
“I would urge anyone with information about this attack to bring it forward to the PSNI.”
We are currently at the scene and will have a follow-up report.
