St Patrick’s continued their good start to the season with an away win against Dixon Colts at Hydebank. St Pat’s totally dominated the first half but could not convert chance after chance.

It was not until five minutes before the break before they opened the scoring, netting two goals from D Dobbin and C O’Hanlon.

Half-time: Dixon Colts 0 St Pat’s 2. After strong words at the half-time team talk from the St Pat’s manager P Hamilton a few changes were made shortly after half-time and they paid dividends.

This resulted in St Pat’s raising their game.

Luke Brown, the St Pat’s centre half, led the way, making some great attacking runs from the heart of the defence.

With the St Pat’s team now fired up, it was not long before the away team scored a brace of goals.

The goals came from M Smyth, C Hamilton, B McConnell, who  converted from the penalty spot, and D Dobbin, who grabbed his second of the game.

Next week St Pat’s take on Dunmurry at Hydebank Playing Fields at 9am.
