Urban Fire, which has been nominated for ‘Best Restaurant’ in this year’s Best of the West, is located in Dairy Farm Shopping Centre off the Stewartstown Road and has taken the local community by storm since opening up just under a year ago. Owners Patrick Tracey and Lisa Brennan have turned a once empty unit into a quirky and hip restaurant which serves an eclectic mix of food, from the exotic to the traditional. Customers can enjoy freshly made pizza, or the wide range of daily specials which can be traditional Sunday roast dinners, to roast stuffed squid stuffed with prawn and chorizo spiced rice on top of a citrus salad. There is a full menu too for vegetarians and vegans and desert options ranging from ice-cream to deep fried Oreos. Speaking on their nomination Lisa said: “It was difficult when opening during the pandemic amidst the uncertainty in the hospitality sector, but we have been flying from the word go, we aim to serve the people of West Belfast and beyond something a little special, a dish which may look familiar but will have an Urban Fire twist to make it completely new. We want to thank all the community for eating with us and for nominating us for Best Restaurant in Best of the West!”
