Best advice you would give to someone thinking of a teaching career: Children can’t learn from people that they don’t like.
Teaching is one of the hardest things that Cailín has ever chosen to do, she says, but it is also one of the most rewarding. She is incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such a great team in a positive and supportive environment. She is also lucky that she gets to spend everyday with her 30 best friends. Despite the stresses and challenges of the job, there’s not a day that goes by in her classroom that she doesn't laugh. Cailín is eternally grateful to her parents who chose the Irish Medium Education system for herself and her sister and says it’s a privilege to be in a position where she is able to help provide the same invaluable experience and opportunities for the next generation.
This was and always will be Cailín's dream job. It’s a job that she feels can never be done perfectly but she is content that she always does her best. "The good part is that it matters but the hard part is that it matters every day," she says.
