My heart still aches with sad- ness, my secret tears still flow, for what it meant to lose you Daddy no-one will ever know. I watched you suffer, I saw you die but all I could do was sit close by. You went away, we had to part, God eased your pain but broke my heart. The emptiness I am feeling now is strong and I am weak, these days go by without you so dreary and so bleak. All the words of comfort, though kind, sincere and true, can’t take away the emptiness I’m feeling with- out you. I can only wish you were still here but that can never be, you will never be forgotten Daddy that simply cannot be. Give Mummy a big hug and kiss from me.
