THE daughter of a West Belfast woman who passed away while on holiday in Spain, has said that her mother will be remembered for "her beauty, her love and kindness".
Veronica Rogan (51) from Glencolin passed away in Alicante on September 20.
Speaking to the Andersonstown News, daughter Cliodhna said that her mum had battled cancer for over two decades.
"Our mummy always made us happy regardless of what she was going through," said Cliodhna.
"She fought for 22 years after being diagnosed with cancer but lit up any room she walked into and always thought about everyone else no matter what challenge came her way.
"Her strength was admiring to everyone she knew, as she always had a smile on her face and never failed to put a smile on those around her.
"Our mother was inspirational, loving, strong and thoughtful, which is the amazing things she has taught and inspired us to be in this life. Her life will always live on in our stories, our life triumphs and memory. We love you dearly mummy."
Cliodhna added: "Mummy was a fighter who fought so many battles but never failed to put a smile on our faces. Her beauty, her love and her kindness will never be forgotten nor matched."
The mother-of-four was buried in Milltown Cemetery after Requiem Mass in St Michael the Archangel Church on Finaghy Road North.
In her death notice, Veronica is described as the devoted daughter of Peader and Patsy, beloved wife of Tommy, much loved mummy of Micheala, Daniel, Tomás and Cliodhna and loving nanny of Holly, Darla and Caragh and adored sister of Maria, Patricia, Kate, Kevin, Paul, Jonathan, Emma and the late Bernie.
