RESIDENTS of Cullingtree Fold on the Falls Road took part in a private folk concert and tea party this week.

The event was organised by Falls Residents’ Association to mark the lifting of restrictions to residents who had been shielding since early March due to the threat of Covid-19.

Residents were grateful to Kevin Morrison of Féile an Phobail, who provided local Irish folk band ‘The Cavemen’ free of charge and Radius Housing Association who generously provided funding for the party on Thursday  past. Along with the sandwiches, cup cakes, buns, and cocktail sausages there was also a bingo session and ballot.
Robert Mc Clenaghan from Falls Residents’ Association said: “With shielding restrictions ended we want to be positive, and look forward with a sense of hope for the future.
“The greatest gift we can give each other at present is hope. Hope for our family and friends, Hope for our young people and especially for our young-at-heart residents who have had to endure so much isolation during this Covid-19 crisis.”
