Best advice you could give someone thinking of a teaching career: A career in Education is so rewarding. No two days are the same.

I was born in Glengormley, I attended St Mac Nissis’ Primary School and Little Flower Girls Secondary School. I joined the Admin Team at ERC in the Summer of 2010, on a part time basis. With an ‘A’ Level in ICT, I had the skillset to suit the job and with a newborn baby at home, it slotted around my busy lifestyle perfectly. Little did I know then just how much ERC would become such an important part of my life.

In 2013 I took on a full time Senior position with increased responsibilities, and just recently this year I was appointed Senior Executive Officer and Secretary to the Principal. I love my job and the challenges it brings. The front office is the hub of the activity, with students using it as their main point of contact, whether it be with a query or concern, looking for advice or generally just a friendly face. All of which the Admin Team can provide. I am extremely lucky to have an amazing team of girls to assist me every day, I couldn’t do my job without them. I am married with a daughter that currently attends the College and a son, who one day will hopefully follow in her footsteps. ERC is like having an extended family, whom I enjoy spending everyday with.
