I have been teaching since I qualified at Loughborough University in 2007. I taught PE at St Anselm’s school in Canterbury, Kent for two years and subsequently moved to Greenacre Academy in Chatham to teach Maths and PE with responsibility as Head of House. At the end of 2015 I moved to Northern Ireland and covered a short-term post at Drumcree College before securing my current position at Malone College where I have been happily working ever since. I currently have responsibility as Head of Year 10 and EAL Coordinator. I am also a teacher of general subjects.
Malone College is an amazing school to work at with a diverse population of pupils. As an integrated mixed ability school we have a majority of Catholic/Protestant pupils and a significant minority of bilingual pupils from a variety of backgrounds. Our pupils have an amazing empathy and understanding between each other and it is my absolute pleasure to share in their life experiences and education on a daily basis. I’m fortunate to work with an outstanding team and I truly love teaching at Malone College. I hope I’ve been able to contribute positively to the lives and educational experiences of our wonderful pupils.
