Family/status: Married with three daughters

200 Word Bio: I am 52 years of age and decided to begin my journey within education establishments , firstly at the age of 19 years as a Technician in Carrickfergus College (which was also the main secondary school that I had attended as a pupil) and later as a Trainee Teacher at the age of 23 years in Stranmillis College, Belfast. I worked for a short time within Grovenor Grammar and then at Glengormley High School (now Integrated College Glengormley) where I have now been teaching for the past 24 years. I absolutely enjoy teaching young people and get a real sense of fulfilment from watching young lives progress through the school years and then onto the world of life and work. So many young people keep us informed of their lives after school and its a fantastic feeling when we then have the privilege to teach their own children further down the line. The Governors, Staff and Pupils here all function as 'one big family' and I feel very fortunate that I have been a part of this school community for so many years. I do hope that I have a few more years ahead of me where I can continue to help inspire young lives and help these same young people realize their full potential.
