REPRESENTATIVES from the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO), called into the Andersonstown News offices recently as part of their visit to Belfast.
Jenny Watson, new Chair of IPSO, and Elena Richards Coldicutt, Senior Engagement Officer with IPSO, visited our team to learn more about our publications and audiences, and to hear about both positive and challenging experiences within the industry, and answer any questions the team may have had about IPSO and its work.
IPSO regulate the UK newspaper, magazine and digital news industry. They are independent of government, Parliament and publishers and say that they "protect the public and freedom of expression by upholding high editorial standards".
Members of the Andersonstown News team are attending the IPSO conference in London this week.
