A MAN has been arrested by detectives investigating the attempted murder of a man in West Belfast in 2025.

The 24-year-old man was arrested in the Springfield Road area of West Belfast in the early hours of Wednesday morning.  

He was arrested under the Terrorism Act and was taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.

The attack took place in the Bell Steel Manor area on the morning of February 23, 2025.

Republican Network for Unity member Sean O’Reilly was shot during a republican feud as he sat in his taxi.

The arrest follows the release of CCTV footage yesterday of a person who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
