MEMBERS of Falls Bowling Club have held an all-day 'bowl-a-thon' to raise money for Belfast and Lisburn Women's Aid.
The charity provides confidential support, information and emergency accommodation for women and children affected by domestic abuse.
Members held various games and events throughout the day from 11am to 11pm.
President Kathleen Bunting explained: "This was my charity this year. I wanted to choose a charity focused on ending violence against women and girls.
"We came up with the idea of doing a bowl-a-thon. We had to bring it indoors because of the weather.
"It was a full day of events with individual games and groups, open to all of our members. It is all about raising awareness. We know the level of violence against women and girls in Northern Ireland is shocking."
