A MAN has been charged after a car mounted the Michael Ferguson roundabout in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
A dark grey Audi was visible at the scene on the Stewartstown Road, cordoned off with PSNI tape, on top of a flower bed at the roundabout on Tuesday morning.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police in West Belfast have charged a man to court following a report of a one vehicle road traffic collision which occurred in the Stewartstown Road area shortly after 1.10am on Tuesday 1st September.
“The man, aged, 31, has been charged with failing to provide specimen when driving with excess alcohol in breath.
“He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on September 29th, 2026.”
Councillor Paul Doherty said it was "a shocking sight for families and children to see as they head back to school."
“I’ll be seeking further information on the circumstances," he added.
