TRANSLINK have revealed that there have been over one million passenger journeys across the network over the first five days of the Fleadh – an additional 275,000 passenger journeys compared with the equivalent period last year
For the final weekend, a special Fleadh timetable will operate with significantly enhanced capacity and additional services across the network, including late night services and the official Fleadh Park & Ride operations.
Demand is expected to remain exceptionally high throughout the finale weekend and customers are encouraged to plan ahead, check journey information before travelling, allow extra time for their journey and arrive early for services where possible.
With record numbers expected to travel by bus and train, Translink teams will continue to closely monitor demand and respond where operationally possible.
Services are expected to be extremely busy at peak times and, where vehicles reach capacity, customers may occasionally need to wait for planned relief services to arrive.
Public transport remains the best way to get to the Fleadh, helping more people enjoy the event while reducing congestion across the city.

Meanwhile, the Fleadh is expect to break the one million visitors mark this weekend as competitions commence.
Martina Connolly, CEO of Belfast One Business Improvement District (BID), said 900,020 visitors had been recorded for the first five days. The Fleadh continues until Sunday evening.
"The busiest day so far, Thursday 6th August, saw 221,170 visitors recordedd within our remit alone, which covers many of the key areas where the festival is taking place."
She added: "The past five days have brought huge energy, talent and craic into Belfast, showing us the potential of the city to attract events with a worldwide scope, which has been wonderful to see for organisers, performers, businesses and visitors alike."
