FULLY refurbished, the Malone Hotel in South Belfast is an exceptional base from which to experience the very best of Belfast.
Recognised by The Times as one of the 24 Best New Hotels in the UK for 2026, the premium boutique four-star hotel is located in Eglantine Avenue in the vibrant Queen's Quarter of the city.
Gary McCrudden, the new Deputy General Manager of Malone Hotel, sat down with Belfast Media to explain more about the recent exciting redesign.
"I have been in the role since mid-July and it is my job to oversee the whole operational side of the hotel including accommodation, food and beverage, banqueting and maintenance," he said.
"We underwent an exciting revamp completed in February this year and the hotel now has a fresh, comfortable and contemporary feel to it. The redesign has been carefully crafted to elevate both guest comfort and our event offering, blending contemporary style with warm, welcoming hospitality.

"We have 103 bedrooms, ranging from your standard twin to apartments on the other side of the street.
"In terms of banqueting, we can cater for around 250 people for events including parties, weddings, gala dinners and conferences.
"We offer five versatile event spaces for both intimate and large-scale gatherings and our experienced team provides flexible packages tailored to each occasion.
"Our Greyhound Bar is named after the owner's interest in racing greyhounds. The bar is popular with locals and guests. We have live entertainment every Saturday night and at different times throughout the year.
"Our restaurant is set for an exciting revamp in September. Our motto is going to be honest food, served together, so that is very exciting for us. It is being led by our new Head Chef Michael O'Connor."

Gary added: "I think our location is one of our greatest strengths. We are close to the city centre but not bang centre in it. It is just a 20 minute walk to the city centre. We are also located on the route of the Belfast Citysightseeing Bus Tour.
"We are also within easy walking distance of Queen's University Belfast and the Ulster Museum, and close to Northern Ireland’s national football and Ulster Rugby stadiums, as well as renowned golf clubs including Malone, Balmoral, Ormeau and Dunmurry.
"We have a fair amount of corporate business, especially during the week with people attending meetings or seminars.
"At the weekend, we have our leisure guests whether that is couples, families or groups.
"Guests also benefit from 64 on-site parking spaces, including surface and underground options.
"Whether visiting for business, leisure or a special occasion, our newly refurbished hotel offers an exceptional base from which to experience the very best of Belfast."
