A dissident republican group has leafleted homes in the Oldpark this week warning that a local woman and her three sons have 48 hours to leave Ireland or “face the consequences of their actions”.

The leaflet from Óglaigh na hÉireann makes claims about Denise Fleuty adding that the dissident group were responsible for an attempted shooting at her Ardilea Street home last week.

Last Wednesday (November 9) evening three masked men broke into her home and held one of her three sons down and put a gun to his head but it failed to go off.

This week homes in the area were leafleted by ONH setting out their reasons for entering her home. The leaflet also makes allegations against her sons.

The North Belfast News tried several times to contact the family this week but our phone calls were not returned.

A police spokesperson said enquires into the attempted shooting are ongoing.

He added that police are aware of a leaflet circulating the area.
